Outdoor visit of FD all Batches organized at Pragati Maidan (Bhairn Baba mag) where students learned of Indian Traditional textile.

16th JAN 08

Outdoor visit of all TD Batches was organized at jwahar vyapar
Bhawan Janpath) where students learned about of Block printing.

25th JAN 08

IIFTians visit to a silk exhibition at Pragati Maidan where students gained knowledge of silk, its properties and its different uses.

FEBRUARY 2008

6th FEB 08

Fashion designing students visited to Noida for the study of dyeing & printing. There they learned about different technique used for dyeing & printing.

20th FEB 08

Brand Mania was organized by IIFT & IIRM Group at Indian Islamic Cultural Centre where different brands like h2o, Reebok, Speedo Barclay etc. speaker gave guest lecture and shamshir rai luthra shared his Brand Mantra with students

4th MARCH 08

Export house visit (cotton harbour, Gurgaon) was organized for FD and AM Aug. Batches students got to know about the knits garment production from sampling to finished garment.

25th MARCH 08

Retails and Interior Designing students visit to great Indian mall, centre stage mall where they got the knowledge of visual display landscaping.

27th MARCH 08

An outdoor visit was organized for Textile Designing students where students learned block printing. Interior design students visit to a lifestyle and (an retail outlet) for the knowledge of home furnishing accessories and display.

31st MARCH 08

Interior designing student visit to a select city walk (Saket) for the, market survey of lighting and visual display/merchandising where they got the knowledge of visual merchandising.

APRIL 2008

4th APRIL 08

A guest lecture was organized for FD and AM students. Mr. Sharad Pandey,Senior Designer form Gurgaon Gave his views on carrier option in designing and marketing skills for designer.

10th APRIL 08

A guest lecture was organized for Interior Designing Students Mr. Anuj Khanna (Director & Architect) Shared his view on latest trends in Interior Marking skills.

MAY 2008

10TH May 08
	IIFT organizing the ANNUAL FASHION SHOW – ECLECTICA’08 on the occasion of IIFT 18th Anniversary on 10th May. 08 the fashion show is held at Tivoli Garden, Mehrauli, New Delhi.. The show was choreographed by Anup Banerjee with renowned ramp model like Shabnam, Krishna Somani, Varsha, Jyoti, Shruti, ShalluJain, Meghna, Barkha, Anusha, Diya, Archana, Esther, Sahiba, Carol Jogender, Bhoop, Aditya, Rajat walked the ramp. Yuri ---- of Jodha Akbar Fame was compared of the fashion show. The show was followed by Annual Award Function.
