JANUARY 2005

IIFT organized Seminar and Fashion Show at Garmentech’05, India’s largest Garment Machinery Exhibition which took place during 21st to 24th Jan’05
IIFT put up a stall in NSIC Okhla, New Delhi from 16th to 19th Jan 2005 on Fashion Forecasting for Autumn Winter 2005 - 2005.
A detailed forecasting display was made at the Garmentech’05 in order to spread information to the Indian Exporters and Apparel related Accessory /Tream manufacturers.

FEBUARY 2005

IIFT Students went for a picnic to konark garden. Konark garden which is situated at G.T. karnal Road , it is amusement park. Students went there for a funtrip along with faculties . They had a fun by playing pools and lots of other games, a D.J. party was organized along with lunch and tea party . IIFT keeps organizing such trips which gives the students scope for enjoyment and fun which is very important for the mental and personality development of the students alng with studies.
Export House visit was organized for the fashion designing department on 25 th Feb’05 “Fashion Age Corporation” Okhla.

	Fashion Show organized by IIFT at hotel Ashoka New Delhi 25 TH MAY. 2004. A fashion show was organized by IIFT on the Occasion of 15 Years Celebration of IIFT.0n that occasion a Gala Fashion Parade “NOSTALGIA 05” was presented by IIFT. It was inspired by Hollywood & Bollywood Icons.

IIFT Students went for a visit in Sajawat, Interior-Exterior, Lighting Exhibition and Book fair in the month of August 05 . This has given great exposure to the students.

SEPTEMBER 2005

On 22 nd Sept IIFT was participated in Fashion Show which was organized in Kathmandu , Nepal . It was choreographed by Ms. Meyhar bhasin . The sequences were Check Mate, Pink Panther, Summer Breeze, Tissue and Frill, Sun & Sand, Oriental Saga, Baywatch , Ornate Splendor. It was Produced and Directed by Mr. Ratnadeep lal& designs were coordinated by Ms. Alka kohli.

Teacher’s day held on 5 th Sept 2005 of IIFT at Royal Court . There the students of AM Showcased their talents in various events like comparing of whole event, speech on Teacher’s Day singing songs. Apparel Merchandising Department particularly did the hard work in arranging everything for the event two students of AM Department also got best dancer male and female as well as best anchor was chosen from AM Department.

OCTOBER 2005

On 1 ST Oct’05 IIFT was participated in Grand Fashion Show which was organized in Jamshedpur . It was attended by Mr. Rajeev Khandelwal popularly known as Sujal inStar TV’s Kahin To Hoga& Ms. Mihika Verma, Miss India 2004.

Exhibitions were organized by Fashion Designing Department of IIFT on 25 th Nov.05

The themes of the exhibition were:-

Fall winter -It showed the beauty which winter brings in along with the aura of colours . The are icy, pretty, frosted & takes you to the world of winter spice.

Colour Of Life - It was colourful theme where in, different colours of life were depicted.

Exhibitions were organized by Apparel Merchandising & Interior Designing Department of IIFT on 24 th Nov.

INTERIOR DESIGN

Theme was Texture Paints-

Students displayed models of furniture, different areas i.e. bed room, living room and MD’s room and also sheet work were displayed according with the syllabus.

The Apparel Merchandising Department showcased the working models of export house , the shipping routes, the studio of a Merchandiser and the different techniques of printing, weaving and observing the weaves through pick glass and microscopic structure of fiber through microscope.

22 nd NOV.05

On 22 nd November for the first time in India IIFT participated in a Fashion Show which is especially organised in the chartered train consisting about 150 people from Delhi to Agra . 20 professional Models from Delhi & also from IIFT institute, showcased the collection of IIFT.

1)14 Female models

2) 6 Male models.

Garments were designed by IIFT Students designed garments.

21 ST NOV. 05

On the Occasion of 25 th anniversary of India International Trade Fair IIFT has participated in Fashion Show. It was organized by ITPO & TMOL and models are also from iift. In Pragati Maiden, IIFT Presented 4 ranges L.C Arabic influence sheraras, Luckhawi Chicken kurtas, sherwanis and formal men & women’s wear.

20 th NOV. 05

IIFT has organized a Fashion Show in YMCA, Jai Singh road. New Delhi . Where IIFT Students presented their seven collection in fashion show under the themes frolic trills ( Tissue skirts & Top) Arabic Influence (Shararas), Galaxie (Caswat shirts ), Embroidered sherwani, Sunflowers One Pc dress formal men’s wear with embroidered skirts & tops and the students participated as a model in fashion show.

19 th NOV. 05

A fashion show is organized by IIFT Gurgoan inDLF phase IV (The City Club) Where IIFT students showcase their collections under the themes:- Arabian Night, Jungle cats, Punjabi costumes.

A fashion show is organized by IIFT in Lucknow where IIFT Students showed their collection including check skirts and leather Jackets.

Export house visit organized by IIFT in ANKIT Handicraft D-25, Krishna Park main Devil road Khanpur N.D- 110062 for fashion Designing Aug/Sep. Batch.

A Christmas and New Year Party was held in G.K. Office (Corporate Office), where Mr. R.D.Lal, M.D, the faculty members and the administrative staff attended a joyous and fun filled party.

Where IIFT Students presented their collections in the fashion show under the themes of Arabic Influence (Shararas), Galaxie (embroidered skirts and tops), embroidered sarees & top models like Aditi Govtrikar, Parul Chaudhary and Shikha Verma walked on the ramp.

IIFT had participated in a Fashion Show in KAULA LAMPUR, MALAYSIA . It was an exclusive show of Indian products and services. Where IIFT Students presented their seven collection in fashion show under the themes Arabic Influence (Shararas), Galaxie (embroidered skirts and tops), embroidered sarees, & top models walked on the ramp.
