IIFT put up a stall in IIBW on the latest lingerie Trends for Spring Summer 2005 the exhibition was held at Pragati Maidan from 28th Jan 04 to 30th Jan 04 at Hall No 15, Pragati Maidan New Delhi.

IIFT put up a stall in NSIC Okhla, New Delhi from 16th to 19th Jan 2004 on Fashion Forecasting for Autumn Winter 2004 - 2005.
FEBUARY 2004
IIFT attended Images Fashion Forum at Ashoka Hotel, New Delhi. From 11th Feb 04 to 13th Feb 04. The conference gives an inside to the latest developments happening in the field of fashion.
The students of IIFT were also taken to Suraj Kund Mela on 11th Feb 04. The students got knowledge of fabric and handicrafts of different parts of India.
IIFT organized Fashion Spectrum a seminar on 2nd Feb 2004 at IIC New Delhi. Seminar was organized for the benefit of students IIFT had invited eminent personalities from the industries to give lecture to the student.
MARCH 2004
1. IIFT opened its affiliated centre Atharva International Institute of Fashion Technology in Mumbai in the month of March 2002.
2. IIFT now established branch in Gwhati in the month of March 2002.
3. IIFT also has new centre in Barelliy and Aligarh & Mathra in the month of March 2002.
APRIL 2004
IIFT students attended Lakme India Fashion Week, 2004 (23 rd April 04). They got an opportunity to interact with various designers like Suneet Verma, Wendill Rodricks etc. and broaden their horizon in their respective fields. Apart from that they got a chance to see the latest collections of all the participants (Designers).
MAY 2004
14 TH May 2004, IIFT organized its Annual Fest. Mr. And Miss IIFT contest was organized on a large scale where-in student’s participated from various centres of IIFT Group. There IIFT students showed their talent not only in the design arena but also in the field dance and music. The function was attended by Mehar Bhasin (Model) Shikha (Model), Ritu (Model).
JUNE 2004
1. Annual Fashion Show of IIFT was held on 14th June at South Avenue, Gurgaon.
The different centres (Agra, East Delhi Centre, West Delhi Centre, Daryaganj, Mathura & North Delhi Centre) with their students Designers of IIFT participated in the event.
IIFT students participated in different competitions. Certificates were awarded to Best Range, Best Student, Best Centre, Best Sequence.
Th show was well attended & Media Coverage was given.
JULY 2004
1. IIFT established branch in Mainpuri in the month of July 2002.
2. IIFT inaugurated centre in Rampur, Kota & Sikar (Rajasthan) in the month of July 2002.
AUGUST 2004
21 ST – 24 TH August, IIFT Apparel Merchandising Department participated in the Job Fair organized by Times Job.com in collaboration with ITPO (Indian Trade Promotion Organization). IIFT got a positive response through this participation and the Apparel-Merchandising students have shown great marketing skills during this fair.
SEPTEMBER 2004
Teacher’s day held on 4 th Sept 2004 of IIFT. There the students of AM Showcased their talents in various events like comparing of whole event, speech on Teacher’s Day singing songs. Apparel Merchandising Department particularly did the hard work in arranging everything for the event two students of AM Department also got best dancer male and female as well as best anchor was chosen from AM Department.
On 1 st of September 2004, IIFT organized an Orientation Seminar at India International Centre, Lodhi Road. The function was inaugurated by Mr. R.D. Lal (Founder & CEO, IIFT Group) and Ms. Alka Kohli (M.D. IIFT Group). The head of the departments of IIFT highlighted the scope, achievements and future plans of their respective departments. The seminar was attended by various dignitaries of the Design industry like Mr. Sourish Bhattacharya, Editor H.T. City, Ms. Leena Singh, designer from the designer duo Ashima- Leena, Mr. Vinod Koul, ex E.D. FDCI and currently heading RVG communication PVT. LTD. The seminar was also attended by Mr. Patrick Beck, Education Advisor (French Embassy) and Director VCLE and Mr. G.S. Pillai President Gold Souk India. IIFT also invited Mr. Alok Verma, business Manager, Ebony and Mr. Saurabh Gupta, an Interior designer.
It was the 1 st time that IIFT had an interactive session with the parents as well.
OCTOBER 2004
1. An exhibition on 50 yr. Of Italian Fashion was organised at "Italian Embassy Cultural Centre" from 20th Oct. - 2nd Nov. 2002. IIFT's Fashion Design department attended the exhibition. Students got an exposure to Italian Fashion.
2. A guest lecture on "Export - Import Documentation" by Mr. Sanjay Vardhan an industry expert was conducted exclusively for Apparel Merchandising department.
3. IIFT students participated in a 15 days workshop at "Design and Technical Development Centre" in Okhla New Delhi. The workshop was exclusively for the Textile Design department 2 students of IIFT, Mansimran and Sarita Sharma were awarded certificates and cash prize of Rs. 1000 each.
4. IIFT organised a "Diwali Meet" on 31st Oct. 2002 at 4.15 PM at G.K. - I. IIFT students, Faculty & centres participated in the meet. D. J. Party & light snacks were organized.
NOVEMBER 2004
1. Mr. R. D. Lal (Founder & CEO) formally inaugurated its Varanasi centre - SIFT- affiliated centre of IIFT at Sunbeam School. Miss. Neha Dhupia (Femina Miss. India Universe '02) was guest of honor. A 3-day's trip to varanasi was organised in this context.
2. IIFT participated in a Fashion Show on 14th Nov. '02 at 7.30 PM in India International Trade Fair '02. The venue was Hamsdhwani Theatre, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The show was choreographed by Mr. Anup Banerjee. The theme of the show was "Dances & Festivals of India". The students of IIFT Lucknow had created stunning Sarees. The show was covered by ZEE TV & AAJ TAK.
3. On 20th Nov. '02, IIFT students and faculties had organised a BI - Annual Exhibition at the Head Office. Mr. R. D. Lal & Ms. Alka Kohli were the chief guest. Mr. R. D. Lal also addressed the students about their work & motivated them to create professionals out of them selves. The students of all the departments had displayed their creativities in the form of projects and files. Different department had worked on different themes.
4. The AM department had made a model on Production Unit. The FD July Batch had draped different varieties of Jute along with Jute accessories. The FD Aug. batch had opted the theme of "Barbie Doll". The ID department had exhibited bedrooms & Living rooms. "Bandhini" was the theme opted by TD department. They had draped bandhini sarees, fabrics & duppattas. Their main was to exhibit "Dyeing & Printing".
5. EDU FRANCE WEEK - IIFT students had gone for counselling on different courses at EDU FRANCE WEEK, on 7th Dec. '02 at 12.30 PM in Delhi. The venue was EDU FRANCE, 2 AURANGZEB ROAD, DELHI.
They were councelled for different courses related to fashion designing, French language and other Management courses, offered Abroad.
The main aim was to make them aware of the scholarship programmes and job opportunities available abroad.
DECEMBER 2004
1. IIFT had organised a get together on the occasion of Christmas and New - Year on 24th Dec. '02 at IIFT Premier, M-15, G.K.- I. Mr. R. D. Lal (Founder & CEO, IIFT Group) addressed the students. The main attraction of the party was the Kids Fashion Show depicting the Denim and Party collection. A second round of fashion show was done by the FD students depicting the Indian Ethnic Dresses. All the dresses were created by the budding fashion designers of IIFT. The party also included dance competition, Antakshari between boys & girls and light refreshment. Prizes were distributed to the Best Dancer Male & Female, and Best Dressed Male and Female.
2. IIFT had participated in December Carnival, at Ballrom, Hyatt, Delhi, on 29th Dec. '02. The carnival had different items like Fashion Shows, Astrology Consultation, Lucky Draws, Games, Jewellery Designers etc.
In Fashion Shows Garments were designed by IIFT students. The students garments got great exposure to the renowned export houses and other prominent guests and media.
