IIFT North Delhi Centre sponsored & organized fashion show at Laxmi Bai college on 21 st of January 2001 during the Annual college meet by Non-Collegiate students where IIFT North Delhi Centre organized sketching competition at Laxmibai College and winners were offered free crash courses.
IIFT participated in 26 th India International Garment fair organized by AEPC held in Pragati Maidan between 28 th-30 th January 2001 where IIFT Boutique PR’s Cleopatra Haute Couture presented autumn/winter 2001 collection design by its chief designer Ms. Pawan Sodhi. along with up coming designers collection of IIFT Head Office. There were three presentations were made on 28 th,29 th,30 th Jan 2001.
IIFT also participated in the fashion show organized by AEPC held in 28 th, 29th & 30 th January 2001 where in this fashion show IIFT Boutique PR’s Cleopatra haute couture” has show its Autumn/winter 2001 collection designed by its chief designer Ms. Pawan Sodhi. along with up coming designers collection of IIFT Head Quarter.
In this International fashion show exporters, buyers, buying agencies, and other general crowd appreciated the design which were designed by Ms. Pawan Sodhi the chief designer of IIFT. PR’s Cleopatra Haute Couture along with Fashion Forcasting presentation by IIFT Fashion Designing Departments.
IIFT organized a visit to export house Seth international Export House at Gurgaon on 31 st of January 2001 for the students of Apparel Merchandising and G.B.A, G.P.T student by faculty Divya Mahajan . During the visit students were made aware about practical aspect and working of Export House.
IIFT organized Trip to India Garment Fair held between 28 to 30 th Jan 2001.
IIFT organized an educational Trip to Tex India 2001 at Pragati Maidan held on 30 th Jan -2 nd Feb 2001. All the students of Textile Designing fashion Designing, Apparel Merchandising were part of the trip.

IIFT North Delhi Centre Sponsered Vividha 2001 Fashion Show held on 1 st February at Luxmi Bai College North Delhi, where IIFT Designer Garments were presented. The show was totally Gujrat Victims where famous Punjabi Pop Singer Bhupi, Mika, Jasvinder Paras, Sunny, Mangal Singh and Shal present also participated.
IIFT Dehradun Centre organized Fashion Show – FLASH-P at Roorkee University annual meet on 5 th February 2001.

IIFT organized study tour to Suraj Kund Craft Mela on 12 th February 2001. The students of Fashion, Textile, Interior and Management division were part of the tour.
IIFT Dehradun Centre Participated in www D Magic Apparel Trade Show in Las Vegas in USA from 13-16 th February 2001. Where IIFT Dehradun Centre present fashion costume and students best work displayed.

IIFT organized a Trip to Chandigarh from 1-3rd March 2001, where all the students of all the departments were part of the tour.
IIFT participated Miss Euro Asia 2001 contest held on 1 st March 2001 at Hotel Mount View in Chandigarh. Where IIFT Head Office students Ms.Yogita Bisht and IIFT Dehradun Centre Student Ms. Himani Thappa also participated in this beauty contest.
All the costumes designed by IIFT Head Office Students Designer and PR’s Cleopatra Haute Couture.

The IIFT student participated in the fashion show (back stage and as coordinating executives) during the Indian Silk Export Production council fashion show presentation on 11 th April 2001 at Ashoka Convention Centre, Ashoka Hotel, where in Chief Guest Honable Union Minister of Textile, Chief Guest Shri. V. Shanjuy Kumar Honable Union Minister of states for Textile and Shiv Anil Kumar – Sec. Textile Govt. Of India were Guest of Honour.

IIFT East Delhi organized annual exhibition “PRATIBIMB” in different departments from 9 th June 2001 where the students of all the departments had participated in the exhibition. The Venue was East Delhi Centre itself. The exhibition was inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Ratnadeep Lal Founder & CEO IIFT.
IIFT Haridwar franchise Centre was inaugurated by Shri. Vinod Barthwal (State President, SAPA). IIFT opened its franchise centre there on 10 th of June 2001. Hon’ble Founder Director & CEO Mr. Ratnadeep Lal was the guest of honour.
IIFT Sahranpur organized annual exhibition “DISHA-2001” (Career Exhibition-Awareness Campaign) in different departments from 9 th – 11 th June 2001, where the students of all the departments has participated in the exhibition. On 11 th June 2001 in Hotel Taj, Hon’ble Chief Guest - Mr. R.D. Lal distribute the certificates.

ORIENTATION MEET IN DELHI An Orientation meet was organized by IIFT in IIC on 5th Sep.2001.Where in all the students from various centres were given detail about IIFT. All centres initiated their students, faculties and staff members to bring them in the Orientation meet. Some very good thoughts were presented by

Nandi Chawla a Garment Consultant.Mrs.Alka Kohli Vice - Principal of IIFT.All the centre heads and lots of students also shared their moments with IIFT .This meet was very useful to raise the morale of students.

In October IIFT has Participated in "PRESTIGIOUS FASHION SHOW" at Ansal plaza, khel gaon, new delhi on 5th October 2001 . All IIFT Students were invited to witness the show.
In October IIFT has Organized "Kathmandu Trip". And "AAkriti Fashion Show " hon’ble ambassador of India ’s wife was chief Guest of the evening in Kathmandu itself on 20th October 2001 .
IIFT Participated in Fashion Show in Kanpur on 20th - 21st October. IIFT students participated in "Festival of india " held in Kanpur (M.B.Estate) AND DISPLAYED LATEST COLLECTIONS.
IIFT shivalik centre HASOrganisied a "Dandiya Night" on 24th october 2001 IN South Delhi .
NOVEMBER 2001
IIFT had also organized a exhibition on 6th november 2001 in head office itself. where in all the students of interior designing, textile designing & fashion designing have participated and shown their projects and work to MR. RATNADEEP LAL (founder and C.E.O. of iift ) & to MRS. ALKA KOHLI (Managing Director of IIFT Group). and the students for good project, presentation and work were also given certificates.
IIFT has also organized a stall in U.P. pavillion of trade fair from 14th - 27th November 2001 where u.p.'s cheif minister Mr. Rajnath Singh has also visited the stall of IIFT.
