This was the year when IIFT saw major expansion, firstly the Inauguration of their franchise centre at Gujranwala Town, North Delhi in June '99. It was soon followed up by establishment of branch in Dehradun and its centre in West Delhi - Raja Garden. This year IIFT has added another feather to her wings by successfully organising fashion shows in Port Louis, Mauritius. The first fashion show that was successfully organised by IIFT this year was Surajkund Fashion Show on 6 Feb '99 at Hotel Rajhans, Surajkund, this was followed up by Fashion Cafe on Feb '99 at IIFT, New Delhi, Festivals of India on 23 April '99 at Asiad Tower, Khel Gaon, New Delhi, Fashion Rendezvous - Stepping towards next millennium on 13 May '99 at Ansal Plaza, New Delhi, IIFT Designs presentation ont 16 June ' 99 at North Centre(IIFT), Fashion Images '99 on 1st Sep '99 at FICCI Auditorium, Millennium Extravaganza on 7th Oct '99 at Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu, Nepal, IIFT Fashion Flash on 9th Oct '99 at Bhrikuti, Mandap, Kathmandu, Rhythms of Fashion on 12th Oct '99 at 32 Milestone, Gurgoan, The Millennium Collection on 16th Oct '99 at Wheelers Club, Army Cantt Area, Meerut, Millennium Rendezvous on 21st Nov '99 at Port Louis Mauritius & Millennium Fiesta an 20th Dec '99 at Hotel Madhuban, Dehradun.
